Mixhand

Getting started

Last updated October 16, 2026

Mixhand talks to your mixer over your local network. You need the mixer, your phone or computer, and one shared network.

1. Install

  1. iPhone and iPad: install Mixhand from the App Store.
  2. Windows: download it from the Download page and run the installer.

2. Join the mixer's network

Put your phone or computer on the same network as the mixer. The best setup is a router used only for sound, with the mixer, the hub computer and the phones all on it.

Guest networks often block phones from reaching other devices. If you cannot connect, see Troubleshooting.

3. Connect

Open Mixhand and go to the Mixers screen. Enter your console's IP address. The console shows its own IP address in its network settings.

No console at hand? The app has an offline demo console you can try first.

How Mixhand keeps your mix safe

The console is always the source of truth. On connect and reconnect Mixhand reads the console and never pushes its own state back.

Nothing is written to the console without a gesture from you. Timers, retries and the app waking up never write.

If the network drops, the last values stay on screen, marked as out of date. Mixhand reconnects and reads again. Changes you made while offline are dropped, never replayed.
