Troubleshooting

Most problems are about the network, not the app. Start with these.
Phones cannot connect: guest Wi-Fi
Guest networks often block phones from reaching other devices. Use the same network as the computer that runs the hub and the mixer, not a guest network.
Windows is blocking phones
If Mixhand shows that Windows is blocking phones from reaching the hub on this network, set the network to Private, or allow Mixhand through Windows Firewall. Then phones can reach the computer.
The Mixhand message has a button that opens the Windows settings for you.
Windows says the network is Public
Windows treats Public networks more strictly and can block incoming connections. Open Windows settings, find the network you are connected to, and set it to Private. Only do this on a network you trust, such as your own sound router.
Another program uses the port
The hub uses port 48890 by default. If another program uses it, choose another port under Advanced in the Hub window. Phones that joined before need the new address.
The hub moved to a new address
If the computer's address changes, phones that joined before need the new address. The best fix is a fixed address for the computer in your router (a DHCP reservation).
No private network found
Mixhand will not start a hub on an internet-facing address. Connect the computer to the same Wi-Fi or router as your mixer and phones, then check again.
Reconnecting banner
While Mixhand reconnects, the values on screen are the last known ones and are marked as out of date. Nothing is changed on the console. When the connection is back, the console is read again.
