Connect to an X32 or X Air
Last updated October 16, 2026
X32, M32 and X Air mixers are controlled over the network. Both need the app and the mixer to be on the same network, and you enter the mixer's IP address.
Steps
- Connect the mixer to your router by cable if you can. Connect your phone or computer to the same router.
- Find the mixer's IP address in the mixer's network settings.
- In Mixhand, open the Mixers screen and enter that IP address.
- Wait for the mixer to be read. When the state shows live, you can mix.
How many devices can connect
An X32 or M32 serves 4 remote clients at the same time. An X Air mixer serves 8.
A device that disconnects can keep its slot for about 10 seconds. If you restart the app and connect again, wait a moment.
To give each musician a monitor mix without using up these connections, use hub mode.
Wi-Fi tips
The mixer sends faster than a slow Wi-Fi link can pass on, and lost messages are silent. Mixhand paces its requests, but a router used only for sound and a cable to the mixer give the steadiest show.
Status of these consoles
X32, M32 and X Air are in preview. They work against our simulators and are being verified on real consoles.
